4-burner gas grills are powerful mid-sized cooking machines that appeal to both newbies and veteran grillers for excellent reasons.
Not only do they provide greater cooking flexibility by allowing you to create four individualized heat zones, but they also have ample cooking surfaces. They can be compact enough to take with you on the road.
They’re also relatively affordable and often equipped with many of the extras you’d find on far more expensive grills.
In this 4-burner gas grill review, I’ll tell you about various grill options to help you find the unit that fits your size, budget, and cooking requirements.
The Best 4-Burner Gas Grills for 2021
Below is my list of the 10 best 4-burner propane grills for 2021. I’ll start with the top 3 overall choices, then go into the reviews and best options for different needs.
If you’re looking for durability, cooking flexibility, sleek design, ample storage & prep space, and a price tag that won’t make you gasp, look no further. The Char-Broil 4-Burner Stainless Steel Gas Grill may be the unit for you.
This 4 burner grill delivers 36,000 BTUs of cooking power across its 425-square-inch cooking surface—enough room to accommodate up to 20 burgers at once! If you need more space, move over to your 10,000 BTU lidded side burner, which also folds down to give you an additional side table for prepping.
Also featured are porcelain-coated cast-iron grates, which are rust- and stick-resistant, giving you a long lifespan and a clean cooking experience.
Since we’re talking about cleanup, I should also mention that Char-Broil designed a grease-management system that is effective, easy to access, and quick to clean.
This grill features a top-to-bottom stainless steel design that looks modern and feels robust. This grill features a closed-cart design with a cabinet, which gives you two additional perks. Not only is your propane tank always out of view, but you also have extra storage space for your cooking utensils, spices, and grilling gear.
Char-Broil guarantees the lid and firebox for two years; the grates, emitter system, and all additional parts for a year; and the burner system for five years.
The Char-Broil 4-burner stainless steel grill is sturdy, well-designed, easy to clean, and comes with a slew of warranties that make it the best 4-burner grill on this list.

I love the sensory experience of cooking over an open flame, but I’ve never been a grilling purist. When I’m camping, tailgating, or preparing food for all-day gatherings, I need flexibility—and the Blackstone 1554 flat top grill gives me exactly that.
This grill features a massive 720-square-inch cooking surface and 60,000 BTUs across its cold-rolled steel griddle. The flat-top griddle design has several advantages over traditional gas grills. First, it enables me to cook virtually any food I want.
If I’m hosting a brunch and don’t want to be stuck in the kitchen, I can bring the diner-style experience to my patio. If the party extends into lunch and dinner, no problem. I can grill sandwiches, burgers, seafood, stir-fries. That flexibility isn’t possible with traditional BBQ grills.
In addition to its versatility, I like the sturdiness of this grill. The flat top protects the burners, which eliminates clogging and rust. And did I mention that the cart is made from black powder-coated steel?
Additional features include industrial strength wheels—and when I say industrial, I mean it. These wheels won’t buckle under weight or crack because they are made of cheap plastic.
If you host large gatherings, enjoy cooking a variety of foods, and want a grill that you won’t have to maintain because your burners continue to clog and rust, the Blackstone designed a grill that checks off all the boxes.
- Rear grease - Blackstone has updated the grease Management on this unit. All units now have the newly improved rear grease...
- Replace your standard grill - replace your grill or BBQ with a Blackstone griddle and never look back! This grill is simple...
- Restaurant style cooking - with 720sq inches of flat top grilling, This griddle is perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner....
The Cuisinart Deluxe 4-Burner Gas Grill is lightweight yet durable, quick to assemble, and has enough cooking space to feed a small army.
This grill features nearly top-to-bottom stainless steel construction. The cover, fascia, control knobs, and cart are all made of stainless steel, ensuring that this grill will withstand the elements and years of use (and abuse).
Also featured are 443 square inches of primary cooking space, a 167 square inch warming rack, and 44,000 BTUs of cooking power. Worth mentioning, too: This grill is equipped with durable iron cooking grates that retain heat and won’t chip when you need to clean it with a wire brush.
If you’re looking for extra prep space, this grill comes with two side tables. The built-in bottle opener and hood thermometer are also nice touches.
If you’d rather grill than assemble, you’ll be pleased to know that I put this grill together in 45 minutes using only a cordless screw gun. This grill weighs in at only 72 pounds and has two wheels, so moving the unit around my patio quick and easy.
If you’re looking for an affordable, sleekly-designed grill that is lightweight yet durable and backed by a three-year warranty, the Cuisinart Deluxe may be worth considering.
- COOKING POWER: Four 11, 000 BTU burners provide a total 44, 000 BTUs of cooking power
- COOKING SPACE: The grill is equipped with 443 square inch of cooking space with an additional 167 square inch warming rack
- CAST IRON GRATES: Heavy-duty cast iron cooking grates are great for retaining heat
The RevoAce 4-Burner Gas Grill features 48,000 BTUs of cooking power, a warming rack, and a 480-square-inch primary cooking area. The grates are made of porcelain-coated cast iron, which means they are durable and stick-resistant.
The RevoAce is technically an open-cart grill, but I don’t mind that for a couple of reasons. First, the propane tank remains hidden behind a sturdy metal faceplate. This gives the grill a sleek look, plus it reinforces the body of the grill.
Second, I don’t miss the additional cabinet space that most closed-cart grills come with because the RevoAce gives me two side tables for prepping and storing my tools and spices.
If you like flexibility and want the option of cooking with natural gas, RevoAce offers an affordable and easy-to-install conversion kit.
Also included is a 10,000 BTU side burner, perfect for preparing sides and sauces. If you need additional prep space, fold down the hood on the side burner and enjoy an extra side shelf.
If you prefer to cook rather than assemble, you’ll be pleased to know that the RevoAce liquid propane gas grill is easy to put together, and RevoAce provides you with assembly tools. This grill is well designed, so you won’t have to drill or fuss with misaligned screw holes.
If you’re looking for a sleek design, large cooking space, fast heating, and plenty of firepower, Monument’s 4-burner may be the grill box for you.
Monument boasts about its quick heat time, and for a good reason. When using all four burners, this grill hits the 400-degree mark in under ten minutes and spreads it evenly across its 513 square inch cooking surface. However, if you like to cook low and slow, this grill can do that too. And let’s not forget that this grill also has a side burner, which is ideal for heating sauces and sides.
This grill cooks as well as it looks. I like Monument’s decision to round all of the hard edges on this machine, giving it a sleek, modern look. All of the exposed surfaces are made from stainless steel, making this grill rust-resistant.
Additional features include porcelain-coated cast-iron cooking grates, stainless steel burners, a closed-cart design with plenty of storage, and a bundle of fun and useful extras. These include LED control knobs, a motorized rotisserie kit, a zinc-coated grease pan, and tool hooks.
This is a well-built piece of machinery that doesn’t look or cook like a beginner’s grill. I was pleasantly surprised, however, to see that the price is still within reach for the average consumer—and well worth investment.
The Monument 4 Burner Gas Grill with Rotisserie Burner is built to last, and Monument guarantees the entire unit for one year as well as an extended eight-year warranty on the burners.
- Rugged stainless steel grill designed for years of grilling and amazing meals
- Propane grill that's designed to cook food evenly and quicker than traditional models
- 513.3 square inches of primary cooking area
Since we’re talking about griddle grills, this seems like the appropriate place to introduce the Royal Gourmet Grill Griddle Combo.
This unit gives grillers the best of both worlds. Want the taste of flame-broiled burgers, but wish you could cook eggs and bacon at the same time and on the same unit? This grill offers you that freedom.
The Royal Gourmet Grill Griddle features 584 square inches of cooking surface, 48,000 BTUs of flame power, and two individualized cooking zones: one is a traditional grill, the other is a griddle. This is a unique design choice, and I’m surprised that more grill manufacturers aren’t using it.
Additional perks include four stainless steel tube burners, porcelain-enameled flame tamers (which ensure that heat is distributed evenly), and a collapsible design system that allows you to fold down the unit’s legs for easy stow and go.
Assembly is quick and easy, too, making this grill ideal for on-the-go grilling!
Other features include an efficient oil channel system designed with a grooved drip tray that channels grease into an easy-to-clean cup. This grill also features two fixed side tables for prep and storage and a hanging bar design where you can stow your tools.
This unit weighs 106 pounds, but it rolls around the outdoor kitchen like a grill half its weight thanks to the industrial rubber wheels that support the cart. These wheels swivel, lock, and won’t crack because they’re made out of thin, hollow plastic.
If you’re looking for a durable, handsome grill that is versatile and travel-ready, the Royal Gourmet gas griddle grill is a good option.

If you’re tired of replacing the rusted-out burners and tubes on your traditional grate-system BBQ grill, want cooking flexibility, massive cooking surface area, and extra BTU power, check out this Blackstone Gas Grill Griddle Station.
This 4-burner gas grill features a whopping 720 square inches of cooking surface, 60,000 BTUs of flame power, and a thick cold-rolled steel cooktop. This unit is durable, handsome, and fully transportable, which will come in handy for boaters, tailgaters, and road warriors.
While I like the flavor of flame-kissed food, I’ve never shied away from a griddle-top grill for a couple of reasons: Flat grill tops protect your burners and allow you to diversify your menu—plus, they stand out from the crowd and plain look cool. Want to cook breakfast foods, sandwiches, sides, and traditional grill items all on one surface? No problem! You can do that with this griddle grill.
Additional features include four independently controlled 15,000 BTU burners and industrial-strength wheels that won’t buckle or crack under this unit’s weight.
This is a hardy, 134-pound piece of machinery. However, Blackstone designed this grill with boaters, travelers, and tailgaters in mind: the griddle top is removable, and the legs fold up, so if you have another set of hands, this grill will go wherever you do.
Blackstone has been manufacturing this grill for a while now. Earlier versions sported a grease management system that was problematic.
I’m pleased to report that the company has made upgrades to this system by moving the grease trap from the grill’s front to the back. This is a subtle but significant improvement. Because of this design change, you’ll never have to clean grease off of the cart wheels again!

- RESTAURANT STYLE COOKING - With 720sq inches of flat top grilling, this griddle is perfect for breakfast, lunch and dinner....
- REPLACE YOUR STANDARD GRILL - Replace your grill or BBQ with a Blackstone griddle and never look back! This grill is simple...

This two-in-one grill features 584 square inches of cooking surface, 48,000 BTUs of cooking power, and grilling and griddle stations. This design choice opens up a vast world of grilling options.
If you want that classic flame-broiled taste, go ahead and fire up your grate grill. Want to top your burger with bacon and fried onions? Move on over to your griddle and prepare your sides simultaneously.
Additional features include an automatic ignition system and two fixed side tables with ample room to prepare sides or store your grill tools and spices.
If you need a grill that travels wherever you do, the Royal GD401 was designed with you in mind. This isn’t a lightweight grill (106 pounds), but with an extra set of hands, you’re easily able to fold up the legs and take it on the road. Once it’s set up, this grill rolls and stays put thanks to its industrial-strength wheels and locking caster system.
Other notable features include four stainless steel burners and tubes, porcelain-coated flame tamers that ensure even heat distribution, an easy-to-clean grease management system, tool hooks, and two generous warranties.
Royal guarantees the burners for five years and the entire grill for one year.

If you’re looking for serious searing power, durability, and a closed-cart design that heats fast and cooks evenly, check out Monument Grills 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill.
This 4 burner bbq grill comes with a whopping 723 square inches of cooking surface and 60,000 BTUs of flame power. As I said, this grill heats quickly, reaching 500 degrees in minutes. I like how close the burners are to the cooking grates, too. This design choice means that I can quickly achieve steakhouse sears that my guests love.
I’m also impressed by how this unit cleans up. The grease management system is efficient on its own. Still, I was further impressed by the fact that I can easily slide out the entire pan that sits at the base of the grill, scrape off any droppings and extra grease, and replace it without having to disassemble the entire grill box.
Because the burners light individually, which means that Monument eliminated the cheap crossover tube that, in my experience, rusts out over continued use.
I also like that this grill cooks tremendously and looks just as good. The black enameled gives this unit a sleek finish that won’t scratch. The burners are made of 304 stainless steel, and the cooking grid is porcelain-coated cast iron, which means it is rust-resistant, easy to clean, and doesn’t cling to food.
Additional features include a side burner, perfect for preparing sides and sauces, a built-in thermometer, LED control knobs, a grilling light, and two black-coated side shelves with tool hooks.
If you want excellent searing power, plenty of prep and storage space, ample BTU power, and an affordable price tag, this Monument 4-Burner Propane Gas Grill may be a wise investment.
- 4 main burners and 1 stainless steel side burner with 60,000 BTU to deliver powerful heat and performance
- 723 sq. in. of total cooking area offers plenty of grilling space; 513 sq. in. of primary cooking area and 210 sq. in. of...

The Monument 24367 Stainless Steel 4-Burner BBQ is packed with many of the amenities you’d find on boutique grills but sold at a fraction of the price.
This grill features 72,000 BTUs of flame power and a massive 723 square inch cooking surface that’s packed into a top-to-bottom stainless steel package that looks and cooks like some of the best grills on the market.
Under the hood, you’ll find porcelain-coated cast-iron grates that are rust- and stick-resistant. This unit also features four stainless steel burners, which enable you to create direct and indirect heat zones.
The grill is also outfitted with a side burner, ideal for preparing sides and sauces, and a side-sear station where you can quickly achieve steakhouse sears. Both burner stations are equipped with folding lids. This design choice means that you have greater cooking flexibility and have additional prep and storage space!
This grill features a closed-cart design with a cabinet. As a result, your propane is protected and out of view—plus, you achieve extra storage space for your cooking gear and spices.
Additional features include LED control knobs, a built-in thermometer, and burner technology that prevent flare-ups, minimize clogging and messy cleanup, and ensure even heat distribution.
If you’re looking for a mid-priced grill that is durable, sleek, and allows you to sear, simmer, and BBQ within one unit, the Monument 4-Burner Stainless Steel Gas BBQ may be a wise investment.
- Features 4 main burners, 1 side burner, and 1 side sear burner

What is the best 4-burner gas grill for you?
Choosing the best 4-burner gas grill depends on your budget, needs, and preference.
If you want to make a long-term investment without breaking the bank, I recommend the Monument 24367 grill. This unit looks, feels, and performs like a Weber Spirit but comes with a price tag that won’t make you stutter. But there’s more to admire than the price of this unit.
I like the closed-cart design and the fact that this grill is made out of stainless steel. I also like having access to a side burner and searing station. Additional bells and whistles like the LED control knobs, flare-up prevention technology, and built-in temperature gauge are also nice touches.
Those who want greater cooking flexibility but don’t want to give up the flavor that only a traditional grate grill gives should take a closer look at the Royal Gourmet GD401. This two-in-one griddle grill gives you ample cooking space, plenty of firepower, and is road-ready. All you have to do is fold up the legs and hit the road!
If you’re a budget griller who likes having the square footage and heat output of a four-burner grill, the RevoAce grill is a solid choice. It is the most affordable grill on my list, but that doesn’t make it cheap. Far from it, actually. This grill is sturdy, handsome, and comes with a side burner, allowing you to prepare sauces and sides without sacrificing prep space.
