  • Whisk for combining ingredients

Ingredients
  

  • 12 ounces chili sauce your preferred brand
  • ΒΌ cup light brown sugar packed
  • 2 tablespoons instant espresso powder not regular instant coffee
  • 2 tablespoons spicy brown mustard whole grain works too

Instructions
 

  • Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan and whisk until well mixed.
  • Bring mixture to a low boil over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
  • Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer for 2 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Remove from heat and let cool slightly before using.

Notes

Use as a basting sauce in the final 8-10 minutes of cooking to prevent burning. Also makes an excellent dipping sauce.
